I HAVE PECTUS
When Danielle was 12 her doctors told her she had a moderate case of pectus excavatum. It wasn't causing any problems, but by the time she reached high school, it became clear that her pectus was holding her back. She couldn't run a mile. and was misdiagnosed with asthma. She started having more cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms and eventually had the Nuss procedure. She is so thankful to her providers and the pectus community for help and support during this long journey.
